Utterly dreadful, beyond remorse - the Cursed pillory board is cast in Sterling silver and abject misery. Wretched medieval wood detailing adds little to lighten the mood and sullen oxidizing worsens the torment.
Cast in Sterling silver, as if that makes any difference. The Cursed is sh*t out of luck, regardless of any precious-metal niceties.
In the aptly-named Dark Ages, the village ne'er-do-wells (guilty or otherwise) would end up in the pillory or stocks, their head and hands trapped between boards while villagers pelted them with rotten fruit and vegetables. A wooden sign was hung around the offender's neck declaring their sin for all to see. All in all an awful way to spend a weekend.
